Our Apiary Journey
At Wai Pepe Goodies, we steward a small apiary on the beautiful Island of Hawai’i. With six hives currently in operation, our goal is to expand to a dozen hives by the end of 2026, ensuring a sustainable source of artisinal and medicinal honey for our community.
Our Mission
Our mission at Wai Pēpē Goodies is to promote sustainable beekeeping practices and educate the public about the health benefits of herbal honey products. We are reaching back to the past and bringing forth the old ways of delivering sweet medicine in the form of electuaries and oxymels.
RAW HONEY ELECTUARIES
Electuaries were used in times before the introduction of Western medicine. They are made with raw honey mixed with powdered herbs and spices, and are meant to relieve conditions like anxiety from stress, the 3 pm midafternoon crash, achy joints from arthritis, monkey brain when youʻre trying to fall asleep, sore muscles, etc.
RAW HONEY INFUSIONS
Why have plain honey when you can have a pop of vanilla? Or how about a hint of cacao and cinnamon? Lavender or rose petal maybe? Our infused honeys are great on pancakes or in your morning shake, on plain yogurt with some berries, or even by the teaspoonful. Yummmm!
